Dinner and Awards Night
On the 22nd of June 2024, The Larbi Foundation (TLF) successfully hosted its much-anticipated Dinner and Awards Night, a night filled with celebration, reflection, and the unveiling of ambitious future plans. Held in an atmosphere of camaraderie and elegance, the event was a testament to the dedication and hard work of TLF members and supporters.
The evening began with a warm welcome from the Executive Director, setting a positive and celebratory tone for the night. As the event progressed, the Executive Director awarded certificates to the most dedicated and hardworking members of the foundation, recognizing their invaluable contributions and commitment.
One of the key highlights of the evening was the Executive Director’s presentation on the future plans of TLF. He shared an exciting vision for the foundation, including:
- Establishing the McLarb Institute of Technology: A training institute aimed at providing cutting-edge education and skills development in technology.
- Starting Foxview Tech Solution: An IT firm focused on delivering innovative tech solutions.
- Building a Housing Project: An initiative to provide affordable housing solutions.
- Venturing into Agriculture: Expanding into the agricultural sector to support sustainable farming practices and food security.
These ventures represent the foundation’s strategic move into commercial activities to generate sustainable income for its humanitarian projects. On the humanitarian and service side, the foundation announced its intention to:
- Open a branch in the northern sector: Extending its operations to reach more underserved communities.
- Establish student clubs in high schools: Fostering youth engagement and development through structured programs and activities.
The event also provided a moment to reflect on TLF’s past achievements, celebrating the milestones reached and the impact made in various communities.
A significant part of the evening was the change in leadership within the foundation. New executives were announced and sworn into office, marking a new chapter for TLF. The new executives are:
- Haruna Yussif Zubairu as Country Director
- Florence Serwaa Boaten as General Secretary
- Sidick Ayisha Bio as Public Relations Officer (P.R.O)
