With urbanization and technological advancement, lack of access to affordable healthcare services, and good-paying jobs, young people are drifting away into major cities seeking greener pastures for themselves. This has led to a lot of vulnerable elderly people being left behind and unattended. The plight of the elderly in the back reaches of our communities often leads to many with complicated health conditions and many with socio-economic and emotional problems. TLF-Gh has been able to reach out through a network of local and community groups to identify and provide support and assistance to the elderly in such conditions and communities. We have partnered with nurses, medical professionals, and pharmacists to provide discounted care and preventive health services to the affected communities. Ours include screenings, health talks, and workshops to help people with making informed decisions about their health and diet, and exercises. We have also included healthcare supplies that are needed but not readily accessible through our partnered care kit program. We are regularly looking for ways and partners to assist us to provide opportunities for more of the affected elderly.
