On June 24, 2025, The Larbi Foundation, under the visionary leadership of its Executive Director and sole sponsor, Mr. Mack Larbi, hosted the second edition of its flagship Menstrual Hygiene Education and Sanitary Supply Initiative at Nii Kojo Ababio Basic School.
The impactful outreach reached approximately 410 girls and also engaged boys in a dedicated session to highlight their supportive role in menstrual hygiene education.
Centered on the theme “Demystifying Menstruation and Empowering Girls,” the event featured two passionate speakers Ms. Joyce Sarpong and Ms. Wilhemina Zii who delivered insightful and practical presentations on understanding menstruation, dispelling myths, maintaining proper hygiene, and simple, effective methods for relieving menstrual cramps.
As part of the initiative, students received essential sanitary supplies, including sanitary pads, pocket tissues, and ziplock bags designed to safely store and protect period products, promoting hygiene, dignity, and confidence.
This initiative is a true reflection of The Larbi Foundation’s core values of commitment, passion, accountability, integrity, and partnership, anchored in the strong belief that every child counts.
Through projects like this, the Foundation continues to uphold its mission of “Helping One Child at a Time,” by creating safe, informed, and empowering spaces for young people.
By normalizing the conversation around menstruation and fostering shared understanding, The Larbi Foundation is nurturing a generation equipped with knowledge, empathy, and the confidence to reach their full potential.
Together, let’s break the stigma and empower girls.
